Of
the major agencies in Heath, only Kelly's Services seem to fit the
bill. Well that's not to say the other agencies aren't as
good. It's just that when it's mainly clerical and data entry
personnel that's required, there isn't much call for more highly
qualified material.
Nevertheless you'll find struggling
graduates on Kelly's payroll temping at Lloyds TSB or flipping
prepacked omelettes here.
Most agencies will make you fill in one of their forms,
unfortunately you cannot go home and then return it. They worry
that you will photocopy copy it and pass your details to other
agencies. Errr but all agencies do this!!
Know your consultant by name. Useful since you will
spark a rapport of which could determine whether they will help you
get a permanent job - or whether they "forget" that you want
a permanent job, whilst you temp for them (Reed Crawley - you have
been warned).
Always play them off against one another, until you build up
a rapport and feel which agency is likely to get you the best
opportunities. They are realists, and know that you will do
this.
Be weary of the details of past employers requirement, this
is part of the marketing maneuvres to get more leads. Likewise
with progress on interviews you have under your belt.

No - you can't even take the form away
and return it!! They'll make you spend 45 minutes just to find out
everything about you.
Their a pretty good bunch really.
Specialising in admin (well all life is admin!). But if you're
up for it will get you work over at Reed Elsvier in the subs dept or
Lloyds TSB. However you will always be offered the omelete
making job, which from two of my contacts reveal is a quite a hard
and crappy thing to do!
Permanents: Pip Rooney, Karen Anderson

Err Yes
Hmmm... I take a dim view because they
were less then enthusiastic when I dropped off my details.
Anyway they did try to get me into an industry I wanted to leave YUP
insurance!! Anyway I must have caught them on two off days!
Thinking of a bigger better salary....
then look here:
Errr no... they insist on a long
protracted trawl through your CV - unless you've registered online!
Use the online registration forms and
they'll come to you. They'll probably insist on seeing your
face so that they aren't sending a nutter to interviews!
